Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of New Beginnings is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. New Beginnings members are involved in a variety of ministries that are impacting our our people, our community, and our world.

4th Sunday Mission Outreach

  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they sign up to be a missionary overseas or live and minister in our own community. The 4th Sunday Mission is a group of families and individuals, who gather together on the fourth Sunday of the month to help those who are less fortunate.  We have joined in with Net ministries to provide fellowship and support to those in the Elkton area that are in great need.

Music Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of New Beginnings, using their talents and gifts to lead others in worshipping and glorifying God.

Ushers & Greeters

The ushers and greeters team at New Beginnings fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. This team of individuals are a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of New Beginnings. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Partners

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. New Beginnings is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Tuesday night at 7:30pm, a team of volunteers is praying for our church, our community, and our world.

Kids on the Go Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, New Beginnings holds a children’s church service called Kids on the Go in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers and leaders have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons….our Kids truly are on the go when they get together!

FlipSide Youth Ministries

FlipSide meets on Sunday evenings at 6pm.  Each week we have services designed to connect teens with each other and with God.  Music, Food, and Friends is all a part of how we get connected.  Youth led worship and lessons to tackle some issues that teens face on a regular basis.  FlipSide is designed to reach students grades 7-12.
